Random encounters
December 12, 2007Well, I’ve been back with broadband for about a week now, and so far, I’ve had very little idle time in world. I’ve managed to talk a lot with friends (which I missed *so* much) and meet a few new people.
Last night, I met up with Adia so that she could show me her new store. I always think it’s really cool when someone takes that step and says, “Yeah, my stuff is good enough to sell!” 🙂 It’s something that I have yet to do (and may never do), and I admire those willing to put themselves out there like that.

Just a little while ago, I was hanging out with my friend Dirk in Imogen (because they shut down the sim where my home is for maintenance). While we were talking, I noticed Saeya Nyanda standing several meters behind Dirk. Though I should have known better, I pointed out Saeya to Dirk and told him that she was a highly regarded designer in SL. Almost immediately, he decides to go and talk to her (he did the same thing with Ameshin Yossarian one night after I pointed her out to him). After a very brief exchange, in which it appears that Dirk is trying to pick her up (maybe he was), Saeya tps out on him. That was good for a laugh 🙂

So, a really eventful week so far, and I still have *so* many of you to meet 🙂

I’d love to run into Ameshin though… I can’t afford enough of her stuff to make a good outfit… But I have blogged her things and try to buy them any time I think about new things (& when I’m not visiting ‘new store X’ where I spend all my $L)…
Actually, I’m sure she was intimidated by the sheer awesomeness of Dirk! I think we all have been, at one time or another ;)j
I actually would like to meet Ameshin, too, but she was working on new vendors that night, and I didn’t want to keep her from her work (unlike some people . . .). It seems like she’s coming up with new stuff *all* the time. I don’t know where she gets all her ideas/motivation.
